Arsenal and Liverpool should pay round £80m to sign Pedro Neto from Wolves this summer, in response to studies.
Each side are concerned with a deal for the 23-year-old Portugal international who can also be attracting interest from Manchester City and Newcastle United.
Neto has been in superb type for Gary O'Neil's aspect this season, producing nine assists and two objectives throughout 16 Premier League video games.
It was thought that a figure in excess of £53m would be enough to land the winger but Wolves at the moment are reportedly hoping to secure round £80m for him.
Neto, who has been on Arsenal's radar for several years, is underneath contract at Molineux till 2027 but Wolves could also be pressured right into a sale as a result of monetary rules.
O'Neil is keen to keep his player for as long as possible and lauded Neto after Wolves' 2-1 win at Tottenham on Saturday.

'I've been requested a number of occasions this week concerning the summer time already and I'm not thinking about discussing Pedro Neto leaving the football membership.
'He's a unbelievable participant that we spent some huge cash on, that we work very arduous on, and so far as I'm concerned we don't need to lose our best players.
'So we now have an extended method to go but this season after which hopefully he stays with us and we will hold pushing in the direction of the top half of the table.'
