Revealed: Irish Olympic hero Daniel Wiffen appeared as an actor in iconic Game of Thrones episode as Leeds-born swimmer secures second podium place in Paris
Daniel Wiffen, who added a bronze in the men's 1500m freestyle to his sensational 800m gold earlier this week, was also an actor in Game of Thrones. The Team Ireland star tasted glory on Tuesday in emphatic style by breaking the Olympic record with a blistering time of 7 minutes 38.19 seconds. In doing so, he became the first Northern Irish athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in 36 years and the crowd at Paris's La Defense Arena erupted as he clinched victory.
