Mail Sport Extreme: From a back garden to 5,000-crowds around the globe, Chase Tag is the latest sport to sweep the world
We've all done it, whether it be as parents, kids, aunts, uncles or grandparents. Playing tag has been a feature over the course our lives. Now, however, tag is a competitive sport that is attracting competitors - and fans - from all over the world, with the sixth World Chase Tag Championship taking place back in April in Evry-Courcourones, France. Founded in 2012 by Christian Devaux after a game with his son in their own back garden, the sport has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with meet-ups first being organised in Hyde Park to now multiple events around the globe over the course of the year, the latest being held in Le Mans, France.
