While the WNBA Finals unfold without Indiana, the 24-year-old has earned another major recognition, reminding everyone of the impact she can have when healthy.

The WNBA recently announced its All-WNBA First Team selections, with Clark making the league's top five for the second time in her career. Her selection quickly drew reactions from across the basketball world, including Nike , which had little doubt about where the Fever star belonged.

"This vote wasn't complicated," Nike wrote in the comments section of an Instagram post shared by the Indiana Fever captioned with, "PG1 without a doubt. Congratulations, Caitlin Clark, on All-WNBA First Team ????"

The recognition comes after a season in which Clark reminded the league of what she can do when injuries are no longer holding her back. She first earned All-WNBA First Team honors during her rookie season in 2024, but a series of injuries limited her to just 13 games in 2025. Back to full strength this season, she wasted little time reestablishing herself among the league's elite.

The basketball world is weighing in on Caitlin Clark's historic All-WNBA selection. Subscribe to stay updated on how her rookie season is reshaping women's basketball.

Clark finished the regular season third in scoring, averaging 22.3 points per game, and second in assists, averaging 8.3 per game. She also recorded more 25-point, 10-assist games this season alone than any other player has managed across their career.

Those numbers help explain why her latest selection felt like a no-brainer to so many. And Nike was hardly alone in celebrating the achievement.

Even her boyfriend Connor McCaffery's younger brother, Patrick McCaffery, joined the excitement, writing, "yeahhhhhh we really do this !!!! history !!!" The Indiana Pacers also made their stance clear with a simple message of their own: "Never a doubt ????"

It is worth noting that Caitlin Clark's selection also marked a historic moment for the Indiana Fever. Clark was not the only Fever star named to the All-WNBA First Team, as Kelsey Mitchell joined her, giving the franchise two selections on the league's top team.

Mitchell's inclusion was also hardly surprising after a season in which she rewrote the record books, establishing herself as one of the league's most prolific scorers.

The Fever guard set a new WNBA single-season scoring record with 1,086 points while also recording 135 three-pointers, 44 games with at least 10 points, and 35 games with at least 20 points. Her average of 24.7 points per game also set a new franchise record, surpassing her previous mark of 20.2 points per game in 2025.

Her scoring consistency was just as remarkable. She recorded at least 20 points in 27 consecutive games, shattering the previous WNBA record set by Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson across the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Mitchell accomplished the feat in a single season, further underlining the scale of her achievement.

A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, and Olivia Miles rounded out the five-player lineup.

The Fever have plenty to celebrate after seeing two of their stars earn All-WNBA First Team honors, but the franchise also has some difficult decisions waiting in the offseason. Indiana recently fired general manager Amber Cox and parted ways with team president Kelly Krauskopf, leaving the organization with major questions to address as it looks to build on its recent success.

One of the biggest priorities will be retaining Mitchell, who is now a free agent after delivering a record-breaking season. At the same time, Indiana must navigate the financial implications of Aliyah Boston's four-year, $6.3 million extension and Clark's eligibility for a new EPIC extension.

The Fever want to keep their three-headed core of Clark, Mitchell, and Boston together while adding more talent to address the shortcomings that held the team back this season. Balancing those priorities could prove to be one of Indiana's biggest challenges as it looks to turn its star power into a championship contender.
