Kesha's own music led her to realize that she wasn't ready to say I do. The singer revealed in an interview with SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up on Thursday, April 17, that she was secretly engaged and broke off the relationship after listening back to one of her songs. Basically, I find that writing songs leads me to my truth, said Kesha, 38. I was engaged and I didn't wanna be anymore and I didn't even realize that I was gonna break up with him until I wrote a song about it, and then I listened back to it, and I was like, 'Oh, no, I'm gonna break up with him now.
