The opening weekend of theWomen's NCAA Tournamenthas come to a close. This weekend, Sweet 16 play begins in Fort Worth, Texas and Sacramento, California.
Just a handful of upsets were pulled off in the first and second rounds, none more significant than No. 10 Virginia's double overtime win over No. 2 Iowa in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Cavaliers are in the Sweet 16 for the first time in nearly three decades. As recently as Sunday morning, Iowa had the ninth-best odds to win the NCAA Tournament, while Virginia ranked 28th.
Elsewhere in the bracket, No. 5 Kentucky beat No. 4 West Virginia on its home floor in Morgantown, and Hannah Hidaglo powered No. 6 Notre Dame to a victory over No. 3 Ohio State.

As of Tuesday morning, UConn is still the overwhelming betting favorite according to lines at BetMGM, with -300 odds to win the national championship. The Huskies blew out UTSA and Syracuse to advance to the Sweet 16 where they'll face No. 4 North Carolina.
UCLA has the second-best odds at +475. The Bruins defeated Cal Baptist and Oklahoma State with relative ease and will face No. 4 Minnesota in the Sweet 16. Texas has the next best odds at +700.
