Chanel fêted the launch of its new high jewelry collection, Reach For The Stars, at Shogunzuka Seiryuden—a temple on the mountaintop of Higashiyama high above the city of Kyoto—Tuesday evening. The celebration was punctuated with a heart-pounding traditional Japanese taiko drum performance and a drone show, with constellations morphing into icons of the brand: comets, lion heads, and the newest symbol, a wing. Among the thousands of famous photographs of Kate Moss, there's one that has come to be emblematic of several things at once: a sybaritic British summer, the early noughties boho aesthetic, the dawn of festival fashion, the supermodel's own inimitable style. She's walking through a field at Glastonbury in 2003, wearing a pale pink tunic dress with black fringed moccasin boots, a printed silk scarf knotted around her hips and her face semi-obscured by a combination of sunglasses and a curtain of dirty-blonde hair.

New Photo - Green Fingers Are In: Fashion Is Delighting in the Garden

Floating around London's Chelsea Flower Show as dusk is about to fall, the air is thick, the herbal scents of salvia and geranium offset by the minty nepeta and the flouncing citrus sucker punch of verbana. If you're lucky, you'll get a quick hit of the just-debuted Catherine's Rose, a coral-pink floribunda rose named after the Princess of Wales, which smells of mango and Turkish delight. Amid the floral pavilions and hulking vegetative displays, and past the Pimm's stall, Burberry has brought together the fashion crowd to celebrate its latest collection, itself inspired by the Royals.
