Aziz Ansari is reflecting on his most difficult scene as Tom Haverford.
The *Master of None* star discussed his time in Pawnee with his former *Parks and Recreation* costar Amy Poehler on her podcast *Good Hang*.
Ansari said that he's never had a tougher task as an actor than filming a scene in the season 4 episode "Born and Raised." "This is the hardest scene I've ever had to film in my entire acting career," the actor remembered.
The scene in question features Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) and Tom meeting local TV journalist Joan Callamezzo (Mo Collins) for lunch.
"She says, 'I'm going to go powder my nose — amongst other things,'" Ansari recalled. "And then she walks away and then Ben is supposed to say, 'Dude, is she going to go powder her vagina?'" And we couldn't do it."
Aziz Ansari would love to return for a 'Parks and Recreation' reboot even if it was 'terrible'

Ansari said that he and Scott made a unique request because they kept breaking so frequently. "We couldn't get through it," he said. "This is the only time I think this ever happened on *Parks* or anything, where me and Adam were like, 'Let's just film the rest of the stuff and we'll come back to that. We'll just come back to the [line],' because we couldn't do it."
Poehler praised their former costar's comedic abilities. "Mo was so funny doing it, how she was like stumbling out of the table," she said.
Ansari agreed, noting that Collins' evolving performance made Scott's on-screen response even more difficult.
"Yeah, and then she'd add some other thing," the comedian said. "And you're like, 'Hey, you can't do that. I just steeled myself and now you just did this other funny thing. That's not fair!'"

Ansari and Poehler were series regulars on all seven seasons of *Parks and Recreation* from 2009 to 2015. Scott entered the fold in the last two episodes of season 2 (alongside Rob Lowe) and remained a series regular in seasons 3 through 7. Collins first appeared on the show's second season, and recurred in multiple episodes of every season thereafter.
Ansari previously told ** that he'd be down to reunite with his costars from the beloved sitcom. "I would love to spend time with anybody from *Parks* — even if the show was terrible, and we just got a decent-enough check, but we got to spend time together," he joked.
