A cause of death has been confirmed for rising star Isabelle Tate.

After it was announced over the weekend that the *9-1-1: Nashville* actress died Oct. 19 at age 23, a representative for the young performer tells ** that she died from a rare form of a neurological disorder.

"Isabelle 'Izzy' Tate had a rare form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease," says Kim McCray, founder of Tate's The McCray Agency, via email.

McCray's email notes that Tate "passed away peacefully" and that "the family requests privacy as they deal with this sudden and shocking loss."

McCray finishes her message by adding that "in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Izzy's memory be made" to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association in Tate's name. Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease is described as a group of "inherited conditions that cause nerve damage," mainly to the arms and legs, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Country star Alan Jackson recently announced that he was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth in 2021, upon confirming earlier in October that, due to his health condition, he would perform his final concert on June 27, 2026.
