Only *Dancing With the Stars*' Dedication Night could pull together a *Boy Meets World *reunion this big and boisterous.

Season 34 contestant Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga Lawrence across the beloved sitcom's series run, received the support of a massive number of her former castmates on Tuesday's episode of the reality competition series. Dedicating her jive with pro partner Pasha Pashkov to everybody's favorite teacher, Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), Fishel was cheered on by Will Friedle, Anthony Tyler Quinn, Betsy Randle, William Russ, Alex Désert, Trina McGee-Davis, Bonnie Bartlett, and Daniels himself.

"He's somebody I have looked up to as a man, as an actor, as a professional," Fishel explained to Pashkov in a video from a pre-dance rehearsal. She described stepping into *Boy Meets World *at only 12 years old as "intimidating, but Bill, who had already won two Emmys, treated me like I deserved all the respect in the world as a fellow actor. I don't think I would have been the professional that I am today without being able to watch him all those years."

Before they took to the stage, Fishel revealed her dedication to 98-year-old Daniels over a video call with his wife, Bartlett, who also played his wife on *Boy Meets World*. "I feel honored to dedicate a dance to you," Fishel enthused, to which Daniels responded in his inimitable timbre, "I'm very proud of Danielle, for all she's doing. It's a pleasure watching you."

The routine began in a picture-perfect recreation of Mr. Feeny's classroom, with Daniels himself standing at the desk with that familiar, ornery expression. Fishel and Pashkov began to hip-check to the beat of the *Boy Meets World *theme song, eventually leaping from the set and onto the *DWTS *ballroom. After a jive stuffed with spins and dips, Fishel finished where she started, and where she belongs: right by Mr. Feeny's side, as he held up a paper with an "A+" grade.

While the audience rewarded the partners with cheers, the judges had more measured critiques.

Special judge and former *DWTS *pro Kym Johnson described Fishel as "very effortless when you dance, which is lovely," but noted that the actress and director "could have a little more attack, especially in your extensions."

Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba continued in Johnson's vein. "I know what you're doing, you're pitching *Boy Meets World* the musical!" Tonioli joked. "I absolutely loved it," he continued, but did note that Fishel ought to "sharpen a little bit the edges" of her movements. Inaba called the nostalgic routine "what we all needed at this moment," but garnered the episode's first round of boos by adding, "I feel like I'm starting to watch the same dance over and over again," encouraging Fishel and Pashkov both to mix it up.**

The touching tribute to Daniels comes just a month after the 32nd anniversary of *Boy Meets World*'s premiere on ABC. Like Fishel, Daniels remained in the series' core cast throughout its seven-season run. His wise, loyal, and often cantankerous teacher-turned-principal George Feeny served as the series' moral center, guiding its teenage and adult characters alike through various trials and tribulations.

Feeny lived across the way from the Matthews home, where series protagonist Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) got up to trouble. Savage, whom the rest of the cast previously claimed "ghosted" them, did not make an appearance on tonight's episode of *DWTS*, which Fishel signaled in a Monday Instagram post announcing the others' attendance, while noting that fan-favorite bad boy Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong) "is working out of town but he will be missed."**

But several other members of the Matthews household were in attendance, including Cory's brother Eric (Friedle), and mom and dad Amy and Alan (Randle and Russ). The rest of Fishel's supporters served multi-season arcs on the series, including Bartlett; Quinn, who played beloved teacher Jonathan Turner; McGee-Davis, who played Angela Moore, Topanga's best friend and college roommate; and Désert, who played Eli Williams, another of Feeny and Turner's colleagues.

******Various members of the cast have kept close and reunited over the years at fan conventions and tribute events, but Fishel, Strong, and Friedle have remained thick as thieves via their *Boy Meets World *rewatch podcast, *Pod Meets World*.

After the long commerical break that cohost Julianne Hough made an agonized Fishel and Pashkov wait through to receive their scores, they were relieved to earn a 29, from three 7s and Tonioli's 8.

*Dancing With the Stars* airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+, and streams the next day on Hulu.**
