Heather Graham is looking back fondly on her time with the late, great Heath Ledger.

On Monday's episode of the *Sex and the City* rewatch podcast *Are You A Charlotte?*, host Kristin Davis recalled seeing her costar in the season 5 episode "Critical Condition" at a Hollywood coffee shop in the early 2000s. "In between seasons one time, I think I was at a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, possibly on Sunset Boulevard, I think you were there," Davis said, "and I think you were there with Heath Ledger."

"Yes!" Graham responded brightly. "I dated him. And in fact, I think we might have watched the show together, and I think he actually really liked it. I remember us watching it and him being like, 'I can relate to this.' Because sometimes you try to get guys to watch it with you, and some guys loved it, but other guys would be like, 'I don't know, that's a girl show.'"

Davis characterized Graham and Ledger's joint presence as a "ray of light in this Coffee Bean," regretting that she had been too shy to approach them but also recalling feeling "protective, like I didn't want to call attention to you because you seemed very free."

Graham and Ledger dated for two years, from 2000 to 2001, just a year after Ledger ended things with Lisa Zane, the sister of *Titanic* star Billy Zane. "I was very in love with him when we dated. He's kind of amazing," Graham reflected, adding, "I feel proud that I dated him. Yeah, for sure. I wish he was still alive."

When Ledger died at 28 in 2008, attention centered on Michelle Williams, his partner from 2004 to 2007 and the mother of their child, Matilda. Earlier this year, Williams offered some rare remarks about Ledger, whom she called "so special, so special."

"Thank God there's Matilda," Williams continued, reflecting on having a child with Ledger at 25 and losing him just a few years later. "I suppose maybe it's a good thing about being young is that you don't have so much life experience that you can contextualize things… So you're really just going with the flow."

Graham has also reflected on her time with Ledger over the years, telling the Australian *Today* show in 2023 that the *Dark Knight* actor "really brought so much joy into my life… He was a very soulful person. Obviously, he was very talented. I think he's a magical person, and I feel lucky to have known him."

To Davis, Graham revealed that she has considered making a photo album of their time together, assembled from her archive of "cool pictures of when I dated him." Graham continued, "I'm not really sure because I don't really — they were like, 'You have to get the family's permission.' But I have some really cool pictures of when we dated."
