- *Nobody Wants This *is a rom-com series about the unlikely love story between a progressive rabbi and an agnostic podcaster.

- The partners of stars Adam Brody and Jackie Tohn will each feature in season 2 of the series.

- Season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.

Netflix's addictive *Nobody Wants This* follows the surprising love story between agnostic podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) and rabbi Noah (Adam Brody).

The odd couple hit several bumps in the road throughout the series' debut season, with friends and family betting against them at every turn. Offscreen, however, the cast's real love lives are much less dramatic.

With season 2 of the popular rom-com premiering on Netflix on Oct. 23, now's the perfect time to take a closer look at the real-life love stories of the *Nobody Wants This* cast.

Bell and Dax Shepard's love story ignited at a Detroit Red Wings hockey game in 2007, and they began dating soon after. They later shared the screen in *When in Rome*, with Shepard proposing after filming wrapped in 2009.

The couple vowed to wait until gay marriage was legalized in California before tying the knot. After the Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in June 2013, Bell re-proposed and they got hitched later that year at a Beverly Hills courthouse. They're now the proud parents of two daughters.

They've continued to collaborate over the years, starring together in *Hit & Run *(2012) and *CHiPS *(2017), both written and directed by Shepard.

Bell recently said that "foundational trust" is at the core of their marriage. "Even if Dax hooks up with the most beautiful person in the world at work, I know he's committed to our family," she explained. "I know he's coming home. I know he loves our children. I know he strives to be a great husband and father."

Above all, she added, the two always "root for each other."

Brody and Meester have shared the screen several times since getting married. Brody appeared on Meester's ABC sitcom *Single Parents*, they costarred in the thriller *River Wild*, and now Meester joins season 2 of *Nobody Wants This*. She plays Abby, Joanne's "middle school nemesis who is now an Instagram mommy influencer."

Bell recently told ** that she enjoyed working with Meester. "I know Leighton's extremely talented, but I did not anticipate what a comedic sniper she was gonna be," she said. "She is effervescent in that episode."
