The bright pink is back.

After a short dalliance in red hair, sponsored by Kotex, Minnesota Lynx guards Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman have changed their hair color back to pink.

The teammates, who met in 2019 when they both played for the Connecticut Sun, were reunited in Minnesota in 2024. This season, they have become ubiquitous after the pair, known as the StudBudz, did a 72-hour live stream during WNBA All-Star weekend.

So how did the idea to dye their hair start in the first place?

"To tell you the truth, we had a bad day at practice," Williams said on the "Fudd Around and Find Out" podcast, hosted by UConn star Azzi Fudd.

"Cheryl made me cry," Hiedeman explained.

"She's in the bathroom with the clippers," Williams said.

Minnesota Lynx fans wear pink wigs in the crowd during the first quarter against the Golden State Valkyries at Target Center on September 11.

And the rest – dying their hair pink to find some joy – is StudBudz history.

During the first round of the playoffs, a 101-72 Game 1 victory over the Golden Valkyries, fans with pink wigs could be seen in the stands. The Lynx also gave the wigs away in the final game of the regular season.

The support that everyone has shown the Studbudz is honestly unimaginable. Playing in an Arena full of pink wigs🤯🤯 wowwwwww🥹 I can't say thank you enough

Many of the fans brought their wigs back for Game 1 on Sunday, Sept. 14. The Lynx are looking to avenge a loss to the New York Liberty in the WNBA Finals last season. If they win the title this year, they would have league-best five championships.
