Kirsten Dunst is not cheering for a potential *Bring It On* sequel. At the premiere of her new film *Roofman*, the former Toro cheerleading squad captain told *Entertainment Tonight *she was not interested in a follow-up, instead advocating for leaving "good things where they are."**

"Are we getting any closer to a possible sequel? Is that something that interests you?" *ET* anchor Denny Directo asked Dunst, citing the recent 25th anniversary of the cult classic.**

"No," Dunst replied. "I'm like, leave good things where they are." Not even if she had more creative say as a producer? "I don't need to put on a cheerleading outfit," added Dunst, doubling down. "I don't even know what I would do, be a coach or something? Let's leave it as it is."

From director Peyton Reed, the 2000 flick stars Dunst as Torrance, cheerleading squad captain of the Toros at a fictional high school in San Diego, and centers on the team's rivalry with the Clovers squad from Los Angeles, led by Gabrielle Union's Isis.**

Dunst's recent interview marks a change of tune from comments she made last year while promoting *Civil War.* "I mean, it depends," she said when asked about interest in a *Bring It On* reboot. "Everyone's bringing back their stuff, right?"

The actress said she would consider it, so "long as it's not embarrassing."

Union addressed the possibility of a sequel in 2023, telling *Variety* that she's "been developing a sequel forever." She added, "But for folks who don't exactly understand how long development can take in Hollywood, that could be five minutes or 50 years."**
