He continued, "The fact that if I'm too woke — the world has turned upside down. I mean, holy s---, the stuff I do and talk about, I don't even know what that means. But you know what? If it means I'm awakened, God bless."

Cohen then suggested it "might mean that you care about other people."

"Yeah, I mean, it's suddenly not macho to give a f--- about anybody," Stern replied, before clarifying, "but I'm not being fired."

While he didn't go into details on a potential new deal, he is it peace with whatever happens.

"If that works out, great. I love this company. I do," he said. "When I signed on, I think it was 200,000 subscribers. XM was killing us. And my dream, just like when I used to go to s----y radio stations, 'Let's f---ing win.' And now today, there's this robust company, and I'm very proud of it. And if I do end up staying with this company, I'm going to take ownership of that."

Stern previously addressed the rumors on his show in September, joking that, instead of leading to his exit, the reports had the opposite effect.

"What pisses me off is now I can't leave," Stern quipped, admitting that he's been considering retiring lately. "Now I can't because then they'll say I got pushed out, so I'll be back. F-- you."**
