*Riverdale* actress Camila Mendes has found the Archie to her Veronica in Rudy Mancuso!

The *Música* costars got engaged in Los Angeles on Oct. 24 surrounded by family and friends. Sources told PEOPLE that Mancuso, 33, had thrown a surprise party for his new fiancée.

"She thought she was going to a birthday party for producing partner Rachel Matthews, but it was a surprise engagement party instead," the source said.

Mendes, 31, shared snaps from the engagement on her Instagram. Surrounded by lilies and white drapes, Mancuso got down on one knee.

"Engaged to my best friend," she wrote in the caption.

The actors met in 2022 after Mendes was cast in *Música,* which starred and was directed by Mancuso. The couple made things official when the *Do Revenge* actress shared a Valentine's Day Instagram post with the YouTuber in 2023.

"Meu valentine. te amo so much," the post read.

Mancuso opened up about how their onscreen chemistry during *Música* blossomed into a real romance in an interview with ** in 2024. The film explores Mancuso's synesthesia and Brazilian heritage, with Mendes playing one of his love interests, Isabella.

"I met Cami on the film, and of course, it was a dream come true," Mancuso said. "She ticked every single box that I could possibly tick for this character: she's Brazilian American, she's beautiful, she's immensely talented, and she really connected and personalized Isabella, her character, which was amazing because as we were shooting, our characters were having conversations that her and I were having conversations about in real life, so the lines would often blur between Rudy and Isabella and Rudy and Camila because of how personalized it was."

Famous friends flocked to Mendes' engagement post to share their congratulations, including her *Riverdale* bestie Lili Reinhart.
