Better call Carol?

Emmy-nominated actress Rhea Seehorn, who played Jimmy McGill's love interest, Kim Wexler, on *Better Call Saul *is back — and more miserable than ever — in the just-released trailer for *Pluribus*, the new series from creator, writer, and director Vince Gilligan.

The new drama follows Carol, who's officially described as "the most miserable person on Earth," in the position of having to do no less than save the world from happiness. We're talking breakfasts in bed, empty store aisles and airplanes, and friendly neighbors everywhere.

See the trailer below:

The romance novelist notices something is off as she promotes her latest book; everyone else is just a little too happy. It turns out that a virus has made all of humanity — everyone except Carol — optimistic and content.

We see Carol facing doctors, who promise they plan to figure out precisely what makes her different from everyone else so that she can become one of them.**

Bob Odenkirk says 'Pluribus' will 'be the biggest' show since 'Game of Thrones'

Other cast members include *Sneaky Pete*'s Karolina Wydra and Carlos-Manuel Vesga of *The Hijacking of Flight 601*. Samba Schutte (*Our Flag Means Death*) and Miriam Shor (*American Fiction*) will guest star.**

The series, which has already been picked up for two seasons, reunites Gilligan, who also created *Breaking Bad*, and Seehorn, who was part of the crime drama's prequel series *Better Call Saul* for all of its six seasons, which aired from 2015 to 2022.

In September, Gilligan told ** that Carol's plan to figure out what's happening is not going to go smoothly.

"There's going to be complications arising from that," he said.

In addition to much drama from Carol's circumstances, there's a "lot of humor to it," Gilligan told EW. "She doesn't really want to be tasked with saving the world, but she more or less feels like it's her duty."

Gilligan didn't want to disclose yet why she hadn't joined the zombie-esque sunshine gang.**

"That's a question that several people have asked me starting back in the writers' room," Gilligan said. "I don't want to give too much away, but maybe we'll find an answer to that, maybe we won't. A better way for me to put it is that it never really occurred to me as a question. I just figured there's always gotta be a one-in-a-billion person. And it's Carol. As to the science of it, I don't know. Maybe we'll have an answer, maybe we won't."

*Pluribus* premieres with two episodes Nov. 7 on Apple TV, followed by new episodes on Fridays.
