Fans have been speculating for months about the status of Taylor Swift and Blake Lively's friendship — but did they just get a clue via Travis Kelce's taste in movies?
On Monday the NFL star's *New Heights* podcast re-released an installment of its Film Club series, this time reviewing Lively's 2005 coming-of-age movie *The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants*. Originally unveiled for members only in October 2024, the podcast episode has since been added to YouTube for public consumption, leading some to wonder if the rumored rift between Lively and Kelce's pop superstar fiancée has been mended.
In the episode, Kelce refers to Lively as a "friend" and repeatedly praises her role in the movie that marked her breakthrough. "Might have been a little biased, but I thought Bridget's story was the most relatable and most fun," Kelce says of Lively's character.**

Later in the episode, Kelce's cohost and brother, Jason Kelce, pokes fun at Lively's athleticism in a storyline that sees Bridget attend a soccer camp. "A lot of the movie is just Bridget running," he says. "I gotta admit, not the best run. Blake, I love you, it does not strike me as a star-athlete run."
Travis swiftly comes to her defense. "But it was impressive," he says. "She has good endurance, though, because running like that and to be talking? I would be f‑‑‑ing gassed and would be way worse at trying to spit my lines out."**
The timing of the episode re-release is interesting, as it comes amid rumors that Swift and Lively have been on the outs. The rumors began when Swift was drawn into Lively's high-profile legal battle with her *It Ends With Us* director and costar, Justin Baldoni.**
Taylor Swift's 'Ruin the Friendship' is devastating — but it has nothing to do with Blake Lively

Representatives for Travis Kelce didn't immediately respond to **'s request for comment about the podcast episode or the rumored tension between Swift and Lively.
In their *Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants* review, the Kelce bros also commend Lively's costars America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn. The four play a tight-knit group of friends who remain connected through their first summer apart by sharing a pair of jeans that somehow fit them all perfectly. Commenting on that through-line, Jason expresses some disappointment over the role the pants play in the movie.
"I didn't feel like they did a damn thing," he says, before stating that his wife, Kylie Kelce, chided him for not realizing the pants are a symbol of the bond between the friends. "I wanted the pants to be more of a major part," he adds. "I wanted them to actually have magic."

When the episode was first uploaded a year ago, Lively joked that Jason was "a natural investigative journalist sniffing out the hidden truth." She also referred back to the movie's source material, a novel of the same name by Ann Brashare. Lively explained that the author "added the pants after the book was written because she was given the note to add a 'magical element.'"
She continued, "She used the pants as a tangible item to illustrate the sometimes inexplicable magic of the female bond. One that invisibly connects us, near or far. And there you have the Traveling Pants."
Prior to Lively's legal dispute with Baldoni, she was frequently photographed with Swift during her whirlwind romance with Kelce. Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds joined Swift and Kelce for a double date in New York last year, and also cheered Kelce on with Swift at the 2024 Super Bowl.
