*The Lowdown* is paying tribute to its late star, Graham Greene.**

The Oscar-nominated actor made a posthumous appearance on Tuesday's episode of the Ethan Hawke-headlined noir as Arthur, a man who had a close bond with the mysterious Dale Washberg (Tim Blake Nelson). At the end of the episode, a placard that read "In Memory of Graham Greene 1952 - 2025" was depicted onscreen prior to the credits. **

Greene died on Sept. 1 of natural causes following a lengthy, unspecified illness, his agent-manager Gerry Jordan confirmed in a statement to **. He was 73.

His California-based agent Michael Greene also praised the actor in a separate statement, writing in part, "He was a great man of morals, ethics, and character and will be eternally missed." **

A Canadian First Nations actor, Greene made his silver screen debut in the 1983 sports drama *Running Brave*. While he is perhaps best known for his Oscar-nominated role as Kicking Bird in the 1990 Western *Dances With Wolves*, Greene's esteemed career saw him star in a variety of films including *The Green Mile, Wind River, *and* Die Hard With a Vengeance,* as well as on television shows like* Northern Exposure*, Marvel's *Echo*, and *Lowdown *creator Sterlin Harjo's series* Reservation Dogs*.

Following his death, the cast and creatives behind *The Lowdown *honored the late actor on social media. Hawke, who starred opposite Greene in Tuesday night's episode, posted a snapshot of the pair sharing a meal together on Sept. 2. **

"I had the pleasure of working with Graham Greene earlier this year," Hawke captioned his Instagram tribute. "His career is legendary: *Dances with Wolves, Thunder Heart, Reservation Dogs, *to name a few. He has always possessed extraordinary grace, wisdom, wit, & depth."**

The 54-year-old actor went on to describe working alongside Greene on the series as a "shockingly fun" experience. **

"He improvised brilliantly and infused every moment with spontaneity & humor. I even got to break bread with him- and share some fries," he wrote. "I am shocked to hear of his passing. Blessed travels, friend."

In his own Instagram post, Harjo added, "Rest easy Graham. It's been a real pleasure working with you, Unc. A real one if there ever was. He was happy to be in Tulsa with us recently doing what he loved to do. Cehecares Till the next one Mvtooo."**

And FX posted a scene from *Reservation Dogs* that featured Greene talking about sending love to those in the afterlife*.* "Thanks to Graham Greene, we know it can always just be," the network wrote. "Rest in peace 🖤"**

Greene is survived by his wife of 35 years, Hilary Blackmore, as well as his daughter, Lilly Lazard-Greene, and her son, Talo*.*
