During Wednesday's episode of *The Drew Barrymore Show*, Mathews revealed that he has a special someone in mind for its titular host if she's interested in dipping her feet back into the dating pool. **

"I actually have someone I want to introduce you to," Mathews said, taking Drew Barrymore by surprise. "And I didn't know if you were in a place to meet somebody, but I've known them for a while."

Ross Mathews offers to introduce Drew Barrymore to a potential suitor on 'The Drew Barrymore Show'.

While Mathews did not name the individual, he did note that he's not the only person picking up good vibrations about setting the pair up.**

"And the other day, I brought it up to my husband. I go, 'I've always thought they should meet,'" Mathews recalled as Barrymore and cohost Sunny Anderson turned to each other with gleeful expressions. "And he was like, 'Brilliant!'"**

But, Mathews acknowledged, the ball is entirely in Barrymore's court. "So, I don't know if you're in the mood or the place, but I do have somebody I want to introduce you to," he concluded.

Anderson excitedly interjected, "He's a wingman!" **

Barrymore appeared gobsmacked by Mathews' unexpected proposal. "Are you serious?" she asked, prompting him to respond, "I am 100 percent serious! And no pressure, but I want to plant the seed."**

Just as Barrymore was agreeing to the idea, Mathews threw in an extra incentive. "And guess what?!" he asked. "He's straight!"**

Barrymore burst into laughter. "By the way, I was gonna say he must be gay!" she teased. "I always am attracted to a gay man!"

Drew Barrymore was stunned by Ross Mathews' offer to set her up with someone.

Mathews' matchmaking moment comes after model Paulina Porizkova read Barrymore's palm on her talk show and hinted that the host's love life may be "done" unless she's willing to put in some serious work. **

"There is the inclination of something coming, but you're not quite there yet," Porizkova said in February. "You're not in the position where you're inviting it in yet. Hand of fate says nothing [is coming]. Done, finished, empty."**

Still, the supermodel noted, "Right now, you're in the middle. You can either invite it in, but if you do, you have to… mean it."**

Barrymore was in total agreement, replying, "That is completely accurate to the way I feel."****
